October moments

October has been a month in which
I have felt under the weather for most of the month....
That has definitly infuenced the moments..
But now I am as good as new...

Life has had this blurred outlook at times and the kitchen bench has looked like a small chemist for weeks.

Still, autumn trees and landscapes are hard to pass by..

Black and white for warmth and Comfort.
I went to a party and took this photo. I am not sure if I act like a teenager and ought to be embarresed!?

I have been feeling rather uninspired lately. It has got a lot to with not being in prime health over the past couple of weeks. I haven't felt sick enough to take a sickday. Basically because I need somebody to stand in for me if I am away fom work, and that is not always easy to find.  Last week I lost my voice, which is pretty tiring when I spend most of my workingday talking. The weekend was spent on the sofa thinking "how will I get through next week?"

But things are looking better today. I went out for a run for the first time in about ten days and I felt really good when I came home. So - progress. Hopefully I will be fully recovered by the end of the week.

Silent Sunday.......

Yet another beautiful autumn day. Yes, we had a bad summer, but no complaints about the autumn.

Silent Sunday...

Evening stroll.
Pink lightening set on the restaurant building at the mountain view point in honour of breast cancer awareness month.
Easy to see in real life - harder to catch on camera.

Tuesday afternoon..........

.............I went into the country garden. We mowed the lawn, probably for the last time this year. There where lots of leaves on the ground and the garden was in a coming- into-winter kind of state.   But we also found this Gladiolus in bloom. Such a treat when we expected to make the garden ready for winter. I have seen Gladiolus blooming in the Autumn before, but not this late. I am not an expert, but the ones I have had has been typically summerflowers.

Now it is sitting comfortably on the mantelpiece for us to admire during the half-term holiday.

Silent Sunday....

October morning in the middle of town.
Slowly we have noticed that the season has definitely changed and it is autumn.
It can be such a beautiful time of the year.
