February moments.....

Short month, but oh so long...
New job....
I dare to hope for spring..
All is good....
My favourite chocolate. I have eaten a lot of it lately. And  not only after eight!

There has been a renovation at the local shoppingmall. They have hung up this photo of the city of Bergen. I love it! In one of these houses is my flat.

I have run a lot past these ducks this month.

Sun for hours in the city flat.

Cold, but good walk with mother

I have a painful shoulder. These have helped me a lot.

Another month, another office.
I will keep this one next month also.

I love red. I really do.

I went out walking around 10 pm on a saturday night. It was so quiet and  peaceful.

My beloved coast!

I guess the reason for all this talk about weather, light and darkness is living this far north in the world. It plays such a crucial part in our lives. The climate change that leads to mild, springlike winters does not take the darkness away or the light for that matter.
In mid-February we have daylight at 8 in the morning and darkness doesn't fall untill six o'clock in the afternoon. AND we have had two weeks of sunshine! It has been sorely needed!
Suddenly one day I realised that there is sun in the flat for hours, and the time when I will have to shut the curtains and the sun out is not to far away. I thought Gosh! Where has the winter gone? Short term memory is such a great thing.
But having the sun around  at this time of the year just gives some extra vitamines. It is so much easier to get outside on a sunny day. And even if we are back to rainy days -  spring is just around the corner.

I have been burning candles in the evening. It is cozy and I have a lot of old ones I want to get rid of.  Soon I will forget to brun candles at night, because there will be so much light around from nature itself.

"Kaktus mix" needs patience.

In the photo above is the photo from a packet of cactus seeds I bought in 2014. I have always wanted to plant cactuses and when this packet landed in front of my eyes I started to believe in destiny.
I looked forward to having mixed, large, nice cactuses (like on the photo),  that I was as close to having "made" myself as I possibly could get.
I went ahead. Planted the seeds and prepared to wait. It said on the packet that it could take fifty days before they started to grow. I knew it was a slow growing plant so my enthusiasm went through the roof when, within the first week,  I saw traces of green coming out of the soil. And they grew and grew. For about a month or so. And then we reached standstill.
I couldn't see any movement untill now late in January, a year and half later. Now they have grown a tiny little bit. But they are clever. I was just about to give up when they started growing again.
Another thing is that they all look the same. I hope it is because they are still so small. "K (C)aktus mix" meaning different types, I hope.
One day I will have nice BIG MIXED cactuses.  But it looks like a longwait!

It is a year an a half since I planted my cactuses

Silent Sunday....

Sunshine and sprintemperatures in early February. What to think about it?
